Work, work, work…and lots of fun

Speechmatics Team

Meet the Team

As busy as ever at Speechmatics HQ!

Early in the month we had a visit from Lucy of Lucy Hall Massage. To help alleviate the tension that builds in the fun but high intensity environment here, 20 minutes of relaxation is always welcome. The timetable fills up super quickly and the massage leaves us feeling energised to crack on with our day!

7th November saw the launch of Automatic Linguist, a unique AI framework capable of learning new languages in a matter of days.

There was loads of buzz around this launch and we were all super proud of our company and the great leaps we’re making; not to mention the publicity things like this generate. Georgina, our Marketing Director said it was one of the proudest moments in her career and coming from someone who came to us from a huge company, it’s praise indeed! Weekend 25/26th November was work, work, work for some of the team. A bunch of our colleagues gave up their weekends to attend Silicon MilkRoundabout at the Old Truman Brewery in Spitalfields, London to drum up interest in coming to work with us at Speechmatics.

We also attended the Cambridge Network recruitment evening on Tuesday 28th. We’re always on the lookout for good people so if you think you have the skills and the drive, send over your CV…you too could be part of the world’s best speech team! Finally, with December just around the corner, we’re gearing up for the last month of 2017 and it’s looking like it’s going to be just as full-on with some really fun stuff in the pipeline: the team Christmas party at Bounce in Shoreditch, smashing through the wall in our upstairs office and the Speechmatics “Hackamatics” Hackathon…watch this space for news on those and more next month!
