Showcasing the future of a voice revolution at MWC 2019

This week, myself and Katherine attended Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. If you didn’t already know, MWC is the largest mobile event in the world.

The show attracts the latest mobile innovations and leading technologies from over 2,400 exhibitors and draws in excess of 107,000 attendees from more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. We were lucky to be invited to attend MWC by Department for International Trade UK (DIT). Having partnered closely with DIT for a number of years, we worked together to ensure video content on the DIT stand was accessible with the use of subtitling.

If you managed to stop by the DIT stand, you might have seen our video in partnership with Adobe and Digital Anarchy. The video shows just how easy it is to add subtitles to your own video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and in case you missed it, you can see a snippet in our vlog below! MWC brings together some of the biggest companies in the world to showcase the best in mobile technology. And whilst that is the main focus of the show, there are also many diverse opportunities tucked away in every hall.

We caught up with some existing and potential new customers to discuss integrations that serve the call centre market but also post-production for media. Many of our conversations were about how voice is the next obvious step to move technology to a new dimension and to keep the products feeling fresh and current.

One new opportunity said:

“I’ve been told by many trusted contacts how good you are, especially against your competitors and I can’t wait to get testing your technology after the show.”

Speech technology has the ability to help businesses improve customer experiences throughout the whole customer journey. From initial mobile interactions to customer service in call centres, it’s never been more apparent that we are moving full force towards a voice revolution.

If you missed us at MWC and want to know more, we’ll be at Enterprise Connect in Orlando, Florida from 18-21 March, why not come and join us at booth 736. We’ll be showcasing new features and have an exciting partner joining us on the stand. Georgina Robertson, Speechmatics
