Speechmatics and Neuraswitch at Enterprise Connect

Enterprise Connect 2019 focuses mainly on enterprise communications and collaborations. It attracts businesses from across the globe for four days in Orlando, Florida. My first observation was the stark contrast between an enterprise business conference and how it happens smack bang in the middle of Disney. It seemed odd, at first, but once the trade show got going, I could see the correlation. Every booth was bright and colourful, with gimmicks and the ‘next best thing’ in enterprise software from Slack to GoToMeeting.

So, what happened at our first time exhibiting at the show as well as our first time exhibiting with our partners, Neuraswitch? We didn’t give away any lightsabers, that’s for sure! (More context on that in my vlog below.)

Speechmatics exhibiting at Enterprise Connect 2019

Back to business.

Whilst we were demonstrating Speechmatics’ technology, we were also able to showcase how Speechmatics’ speech-to-text capabilities can be used as part of a platform. Neuraswitchs’ ConnextionsCX platform captures calls, transcribes them in real-time using Speechmatics’ speech-to-text technology, and provides emotional analytics for any situation to enhance customer satisfaction. You can see it working live at the show here.

We were also lucky to be exhibiting next to our partners, Red Box who demonstrated how transcribed data can be exported into applications, making it easier to deliver business insights such as surveillance, audit, or quality analysis. And if you missed it, you can watch our video from the show on how Red Box’s award-winning voice data controller delivers value within Salesforce.

The enterprise and contact centre industries offer vast opportunities and requirements for speech-to-text, both in real-time and post-processing. It was exciting to see both attendees and fellow exhibitors’ reactions to how accurate our real-time demonstration is in such a noisy environment.

It was abundantly clear how far automatic speech recognition technology has come in the last few years, especially in this industry, and I’m excited to see how much it could progress over the coming year.

If you’d like a little more insight into what we got up to at the show, take a look at my vlog below (including a lightsaber).

Until next year Orlando!
